Occupational First Aid Refresher
One Day Training Course
|
|
Background
The Occupational First Aid Regulations were published in 1993. These regulations imposed a mandatory requirement on all employers to have a specified minimum number of Occupational First Aiders trained and deployed in the workplace.
Occupational First Aiders provide a life saving link between the time of incident to the arrival of the emergency services or appropriate medical assistance. Trained Occupational First Aiders who have undergone the three-day course, must complete a refresher course at any time during the two year lifetime of the certificate or up to 3 months following the expiry date of the certificate.
