One Day Training Course

Background

The Disability Act 2005 helped to raise awareness of how employers can understand and provide for the needs of people with disabilities in the workplace. This has been reflected in organisations’ growing acceptance that the buildings and services should be accessible to people with disabilities. With these trends comes a need for deeper understanding of disability issues and main communication, attitudinal and physical barriers preventing people with disabilities from full social participation.

The aim of disability awareness training is to remove some of these barriers and help organisations to understand disability and barriers in their own environment.

This one-day course is designed for any organisation that wishes to increase disability awareness and understanding within their organisation.
