The National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) is the single structure for recognising all education and training in Ireland. It provides a way to compare qualifications, and to ensure that they are quality assured and recognised at home and abroad. It is a system of 10 levels. Each level is based on nationally agreed standards of knowledge, skill and competence i.e., what an individual is expected to know, understand and be able to do following successful completion of a process of learning.

The typical requirements are: Equipment: Screen, Flipchart, Markers, Extension Lead (Tutor will generally bring their own laptop and projection system) Training Room: U-Shaped style for delegates, top table for tutor and side table for tutor notes. However, Accredited courses cannot be altered outside the rules of Accreditation.
